It was such an amazing weekend. Even though it's still below zero the sun was shining and there was no cloud in the sky. We went for a walk and took some photos. The photo shoot was short and sweet but I love how they turned out.

In this post I want to show how you can make a real statement outfit by adding a few elegant pieces. As you know I am so in love in pink especially this season so I added a touch of pink to this neutral outfit.

Chocolate Strawberries

If you need a last minute idea this is the perfect gift. With only few ingredients it is so easy and quick to prepare and I promise you, your better half will love it (unless they are allergic to strawberries or chocolate).

What You will need:

Heart shaped box. I got mine from Dollar Store.

Fresh Strawberries

White Chocolate

or

Milk Chocolate Chips (You can use any kind)

Melt the chocolate chips and gently dip the strawberries. Place on a non stock baking sheet. Make sure the strawberries are dry and room temperature. If the are too cold they will cool the melted chocolate very quickly. After they are all covered leave them in the freezer for 30 minutes.



 Place them in the heart shaped box and you are done!

For me there is nothing more romantic then a light pink. It looks so beautiful and there is a certain innocents about it. When I see this color I think about pink roses and rosy cheeks; pink lips waiting to be kissed and sweet candy we can't wait to taste.

You can't help but feel youthful and free spirited while wearing this color.

Winter Fun

I love winter! That is probably a good thing because I live in one of the coldest cities in the world. The one thing I miss about my homeland are the mountains. Living in the prairies of Canada does not give me a lot of opportunities to go skiing. Over the weekend my dad wanted to take us skiing so we went to the closest place...

What you are seeing behind me on the picture above is a floodway and I am standing on the only hill steep enough to ski down. Yes, the slopes were very limited but I still had so much fun and I got to spend some quality time with my family.

This short trip reminded me of how much I love skiing so I have started planning my next ski trip and this time there will be real slopes.

This post is a beauty post. It is about the beauty of spending time with my family. Cherishing every moment and appreciating the good times we spend together. This weekend I was reminded to not take everything for granted and to be thankful for all the wonderful people I have in my life.

What are some of your favourite family moments?

The Long Coat

From the moment I was born my parents knew I was going to be tall. When they describe me as a baby they say I had chubby cheeks and long legs. Now, 23 years later and 5'11'' height I admit they were right. Shopping for jeans and long coats is so hard and in cold Canadian winters warm clothing is a must. That is why I fell in love with this coat when I saw it last year. It is a blend of cashmere and wool, so comfortable and elegant, probably one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe collection.

I absolutely love this look. The stripes with the red pant look so adorable, paired with chunky jewelery and a classic shoe it is the perfect every day look. Of course, this look is also great if you would like to do some boating ;-)
